Welcome to Bo & Co.: How One Mom Turned a Clothing Frustration Into a Family Boutique

Hi, I’m Ashley — wife, mom to Bo and Ellie, and the founder of Bo & Co.

Bo & Co. started in 2024 for a pretty simple reason: I was frustrated.

I wanted clothes for my son that were cute, comfortable, well-made, and actually felt worth what I was paying for them. I kept finding myself choosing between styles I loved that were too expensive, inexpensive clothing that didn’t hold up, or pieces that just didn’t feel like him.

Eventually, I started thinking: surely I’m not the only mom looking for something better.

That little thought became Bo & Co.

I Wanted Boutique Style Without the Boutique Price Tag

When I started Bo & Co., I wasn’t trying to build another children’s clothing website filled with the same things you can find everywhere else.

I wanted to create a place where moms could find fun, stylish clothing for their kids without feeling like every outfit had to be saved for a special occasion.

Kids are going to play.

They’re going to spill things.

They’re going to run around the backyard, climb on playgrounds, go to school, fall asleep in the car, and somehow outgrow something you swear you bought last week.

Their clothes should be able to keep up with them.

That’s why comfort, quality, style, and value are all important to me when I choose what we carry at Bo & Co.

What You’ll Find at Bo & Co.

What started with children’s clothing has grown into a boutique for the whole family.

Today, you’ll find everything from boys’ and girls’ boutique clothing to bamboo pajamas, smocked outfits, appliqué styles, seasonal clothing, women’s apparel, accessories, preorders, gifts, and more.

Some of my personal favorites are our bamboo pieces.

If you’ve never tried bamboo clothing for your kids, there’s a reason parents love it. It’s incredibly soft, stretchy, breathable, and comfortable enough for sleeping while still being cute enough for lazy mornings around the house.

We also carry smocked and appliqué clothing because I still love those classic children’s styles — but I want families to be able to enjoy them without feeling like they have to spend a fortune on every outfit.

And as Bo & Co. has grown, so has our women’s collection. I wanted moms to be able to shop for themselves while they’re picking out something for their kids, whether that means a comfortable everyday top, pajamas, a cute dress, or an accessory that makes an outfit feel finished.

Our goal is simple: something for everyone in the family, at prices that make sense for real families.

Every Item Has to Pass the “Would I Buy This?” Test

Running a family-owned boutique means our inventory feels personal.

I’m not interested in filling the website with products just so we can say we have thousands of things available.

I would rather carry pieces I genuinely think our customers will love.

Before something earns a place at Bo & Co., I’m looking at the style, comfort, quality, value, and whether I would actually feel good purchasing it for my own family.

That doesn’t mean every product is going to be everyone’s style — and honestly, I don’t want it to be.

One of the things I love most about clothing is that it gives people a chance to show some personality.

Bo might love something completely different from Ellie.

I might pick something another mom would never choose.

That’s the fun of it.

Bo & Co. Is More Than a Website to Us

One of the most unexpected parts of starting this business has been the community that has grown around it.

A lot of you found us through Facebook, our live sales, or because another customer told you about us.

Some of you have been shopping with us long enough that we recognize your names immediately.

That means more to our family than I can really put into words.

Behind Bo & Co. is our actual family — me, my husband Jack, Bo, and Ellie.

There isn’t a giant corporation behind the website.

When you support Bo & Co., you’re supporting a family-owned small business and helping us continue building something that started with one mom thinking, “There has to be a better option.”

Why Shopping Small Matters

There are plenty of places to buy clothing online.

We know that.

So we never take it lightly when someone chooses to spend their money with us.

Every order matters.

Every Facebook comment matters.

Every recommendation to a friend matters.

Every time someone sends us a picture of their child wearing something they bought from Bo & Co., it reminds me why we started doing this in the first place.

Supporting a small business isn’t just buying a shirt or a pair of pajamas.

You’re helping a real family grow something from the ground up.

And I’m incredibly grateful for that.

We’re still growing, learning, and figuring things out as we go.
